One of the hardest things for me to deal with since I started
Soulcraft has been our website. I'm not a web guy but I thought I could get
away with doing it myself on the cheap with a basic web design program. Bad
idea. Lots of time spent on it and it still looked amateur. Then I got a
call from one of my customers, Mitch Kline (head honcho at pixelEIGHT), offering to build us a whole new
site. I get offers like this all the time so I was a little skeptical. He
sent me some links to sites he had done and I was impressed so I took a
chance. I'm happy to say it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
I told Mitch I wanted a simple site that "fit" with the whole Soulcraft
ethos: No BS, to the point, and functional. That's exactly what he gave me.
In addition, he built in administration tools that allow me to update parts
of the site without having to know HTML. I don't have to bug him every time
I want to make a change and the site doesn't get stale and outdated. All
the way through Mitch was available and often pushing me to get things done
on time and I can't say enough about how easy he was to work with. I'm
stoked with the way things turned out and now I can concentrate on what I'm
good at, building frames!
